Hi there [[contact.first_name]],
We have been wanting to share this update for a while now, but it has been a little hard for us to put into words...
Last month, our friendly farm dog, Dakota aka "Coda", passed away. And as hard as that has been for us all, we are so grateful for the time we were able to have with him here on the farm.
For those who visited the farm, there's a good chance you met him. He was usually the first to greet visitors, always hoping for a scratch behind the ears or a new friend to throw a stick. Whether it was customers picking up orders, kids visiting the farm, or family and friends stopping by, Coda seemed to believe that everyone was his best friend.
He was the kind of dog every farm hopes for—gentle, loyal, patient with children, and always happy to be wherever the people were. He spent countless days riding around the farm in the UTV, tagging along for chores and making sure he didn't miss a thing. He took his self-appointed job of protecting the farm seriously too, always on the lookout for groundhogs, foxes, and anything else he decided didn't belong near the livestock.
Needless to say, he is missed by all of us on the farm.
At the same time, we're incredibly thankful for the years we had with him and for all the memories he gave our family. Looking back through old photos, it's amazing how many farm moments, family gatherings, and customer visits included Coda somewhere in the background.
So while our hearts ache to see him gone, we're choosing to remember him the way he lived—with a wagging tail, muddy paws, and a happy heart.
Thank you to everyone who has asked about him and shared kind words. It means more to our family than you know. We hope you'll enjoy some of the photos we've included below!
